What’s the cost of living in China?
Very simple, Location, Location,Location! Where you are based in China plays a great role in your living cost. Some Cities such as Beijing and Shanghai are extremely pricey. Transportation and Local dining are very reasonable. If you have school going children, International schools are available at an expensive price tag.
How do I get Medical Insurance in China?
It is highly recommended that one be insured while you are in China. Although many hospitals accept direct patient billing, International Global Health Insurance is available through companies like Baymac. How long is the Screening Process / Training?
Once your application has been accepted and approved by the airline, you are expected to make at least two trips to China. First, for your ATP written test, Medical Check and Simulator screening. This usually takes 7 to 10 days. If you are successful, the next will be for your CAAC Type Ride for the current type rating that you have. (The ride can be somewhat challenging with various multiple failures. Examiners are looking for good command skills and CRM in working through the failures) Training can take up to 6 months due to CAAC requirements.
How is the Line flying and Schedule?
"It ain't Kansas anymore!" It is very different from what you are used to and it takes a moment for you adapt to. With that said flying in China is not for everyone, but with the right attitude what seems like a mountain can turn into a mole hill. Schedules vary from each carrier but expect at least two days off each week to meet the CAAC requirements. If you are on a commuting option, the Airlines are pretty good about letting you go on your contracted break.
How do I get to China?
Our Agency will assist you initially to get your tourist visa for the screening. After you are successful with the screening,we will work alongside the Airline to assist in getting the work permit and “Z” visa for you and your family. The "Z" visa will be converted into a Residence Permit upon your arrival at your domicile base.
